Do you have an appointment scheduled already?

Patients will be offered a flu shot when they are at a Care Center for a previously scheduled appointment.

Who needs a flu shot?

Spira Care recommends that everyone age 6 months or older get vaccinated. This is especially true if you are at high risk for flu complications such as:

Young children
Pregnant women
Adults 65 years and older
People with chronic illnesses - especially asthma, heart disease & stroke, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and cancer

Is it safe to get a flu shot and a COVID-19 vaccine around the same time?

Per the AAP, influenza vaccine can be administered simultaneously with or any time before or after administration of the currently available COVID-19 vaccines.

When to get vaccinated?

Get your flu shot early in the flu season. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends getting vaccintated between early September and late October.
